| Q: | Can I purchase just the heat shields if mine are damaged? |
| A: | As long as the exhaust system has not been discontinued, or we have the heat shields in stock, special order replacements parts are available. These are subject to availability and we will only be able to replace the heat shields with the same style originally meant for the system.

|
| Q: | Can I purchase replacement baffles? |

| Q: | Do these muffler require repacking? If so, how often or how can I tell if my muffler needs to be repacked? |
| A: | As with most aftermarket pipes these systems do need to be repacked on a regular basis. Check the muffler regularly as the life of the packing depends on your individual riding habits. If the muffler starts to get louder (sometimes a hollow sound can be heard) or hotter than normal, then its time to repack. If you knock on the muffler, sometimes you can hear that there is packing missing, again it may sound hollow.

| Q: | How can I tell if my bike is tuned correctly? |
| A: | If you are experiencing excessive popping or backfiring, especially on deceleration, there is a good chance your bike is not tuned correctly. If you can feel excess heat in the motor, or if your pipes have a sudden color change, chances are that you are running lean and you will need to re-map or re-jet. Also if your bike idles rough or incorrectly or if you experience inconsistent acceleration you should look it to tuning the bike.

|
| Q: | How loud will this exhaust be? What kind of sound does it give? |
| A: | Most aftermarket Sportbike and Cruiser exhaust systems are louder than what you are used to from your stock system, ours are no different. Jardine exhausts give a louder, pleasing, deep sound for all to hear. Jardine off-road systems vary by application and are available in 2 styles. See individual applications for more details.

| Q: | I have an oil filter kit for my V-Star 1100 and the oil lines seem to be too short. Can I get a longer set? |
| A: | The oil lines may look too short before installation; however they do need to have a snug fit, with no slack in the line. If you have Baron Highway Bars on the bike we do offer oil lines with a few extra inches to allow fitment around the bars.

|
|
| Q: | Should I re-jet the carburetor/re-map the engine with your exhaust system? |
| A: | Although, in most cases, most motorcycles will run adequately with an aftermarket exhaust system and the stock jetting or fuel map; to get the maximum performance and reliability from all Jardine exhaust systems we do suggest re-mapping the engine or re-jetting your carburetor.

|
| Q: | What are the benefits of titanium, carbon fiber or aluminum mufflers? |
| A: | Aluminum ? Polished beauty, affordability, ease of maintenance.
Carbon Fiber ? Extreme weight reduction, looks expensive, slightly quieter than metal mufflers. Carbon fiber does not reflect sound like a metal muffler will. Must stay up on regular maintenance for reliability.
Titanium - Weight reduction, better durability than carbon fiber.

|
| Q: | What is the ?crazy bottle? on the dirt bike headers? |
| A: | The ?crazy bottle? is a modified version of a Helmholtz resonance chamber. The technology has actually been around since the 1850s & only recently applied to Jardine?s RT99 & RT94 exhaust systems. All of the resonance chambers are specifically designed for each bike application. The resonance chamber allows for more power and better throttle response while also reducing sound output.
